District Transition Resources

Dear Toastmasters of District 92,

Warm greetings!

I am writing to let you know about an important update from Toastmasters International regarding a District Realignment that has been approved by the Toastmasters International Board of Directors. This realignment will come into effect from the 2026–27 Program Year, beginning 1st July 2026.

Why is this realignment happening?

Based on recommendations submitted by the Region 8–14 District Realignment Committee, the Board of Directors has approved a strategic reorganization of several districts. This initiative is part of a broader, long-term effort to ensure that districts are:

  • Operationally efficient

  • Financially sustainable

  • Supported by strong leadership pipelines

  • Better positioned to serve clubs effectively

This decision was taken after careful analysis and due diligence and is focused on strengthening the Toastmasters experience for clubs and members.

Districts impacted

Several districts across Regions 8–14 are part of this realignment process. District 92 is one of the impacted districts, along with Districts 41, 51, 70, 72, 90, 97, 98, 104, 108, 110, 112, 114, 120, 121, 122, 124, 125, and 126.

What does this mean for District 92?

  • District 92 will not continue in its current form beyond the 2025–26 program year

  • Our clubs will be realigned into newly formed districts effective 1st July 2026. You will find it here the areas and pin codes of the to-be-formed Districts, which will cover the geographical locations where the District 92 clubs are currently present.

  • This process will be supported by a Transition Committee appointed by Toastmasters International to ensure a smooth and well-governed transition

District 92 falls under Group B of the realignment structure, led by Deepak Menon, Past International President (PIP). The Group Chair will appoint:

  • A District Alignment Committee Chair

  • A District Leadership Committee Chair

These committees will oversee alignment decisions, governance matters, and elections for the newly formed districts.

What stays the same for now?

I want to reassure you that:

  • There is no impact on the current 2025–26 program year

  • All clubs, areas, divisions, and district activities will continue as planned

  • The upcoming District Conference and District Council meetings will be conducted as usual

  • Alignment approvals and elections for the new districts will happen separately under Transition Committee guidance

Simply put, nothing changes today or this year. Your club meetings, education programs, contests, recognitions, and leadership journeys remain completely unaffected.

What happens during the transition?

  • Current districts, including District 92, will conduct their regular District Conference and District Council meetings during 2025–26

  • Elections and alignment approvals for the newly formed districts will be conducted in separate meetings, organized by the Transition Committee

  • Toastmasters International will continue to share official updates via its District Realignment webpage and leadership communications

Looking forward

This realignment is not a disruption, but a reorganization designed to strengthen support for clubs and members. The goal is to ensure that future districts are better resourced, more focused, and more capable of serving your needs.

District 92 has a proud legacy, and this final program year gives us a unique opportunity to end on a high note by staying focused on club quality, member experience, and leadership excellence.

We will continue to keep you informed as more official updates are shared. Should there be a need, member town halls or information sessions will be organized to address questions.

Thank you for your trust, commitment, and dedication to Toastmasters!

--

With gratitude & regards

Bidyut Dutta, DTM
